As Head of Plimsoll Wales James oversees our Cardiff office. James is also the creative lead on Plimsoll’s live events, having executive produced Earth Live and Yellowstone Live for National Geographic.

James began his career at the BBC’s Natural History Unit before working on the acclaimed anthropological series Tribe. James was part of the BAFTA-winning team that made Amazon with Bruce Parry, and series produced the follow-up series on the Arctic. He has led projects in the Congo Basin and Alaska for BBC1 and Discovery respectively, and set up Plimsoll’s ground-breaking wildlife film-making endeavour, Camp Zambia. Before joining Plimsoll, James was working closer to home, overseeing Springwatch for BBC TWO.
