Kate Beetham

Kate leads Specialist Factual for Plimsoll and also acts as Executive Producer. She heads a department that has won several major commissions including First Brit: Secrets of the 10,000 Year Old Man for C4 and Oti Mabuse’s South Africa for BBC1. The department currently has additional history and science titles in production for both US and UK channels. Prior to this role Kate ran the Development department at Plimsoll, and was an Executive Producer in the BBC Features Department where she oversaw DIY SOS and a slate of the BBC’s most popular daytime series. She has also worked as a Commissioning Executive for Documentaries and, while working for the BBC’s Science Department, ran the flagship series Horizon for BBC2.
