Martha Holmes, a BAFTA and Emmy award-winning producer, heads up Natural History and Adventure at Plimsoll Productions. She oversees all productions from landmark series such as A Real Bug’s Life (Disney+), Tiny World (Apple TV+), Animal and Night on Earth (Netflix), A Year On Planet Earth (ITV), Incredible Animal Journeys and Hostile Planet (Nat Geo), to hosted series including Arctic Ascent with Alex Honnold (Disney+) and John Bishop’s Great Whale Rescue (ITV). Martha also heads up conservation shows such as Patagonia: Life On The Edge Of The World (CNN).

Since joining Plimsoll from the BBC Natural History Unit, where her credits included the highly acclaimed series Blue Planet and Life, Martha, who has a PhD in marine biology, has won a string of other commissions for Plimsoll. These are as varied as the ocean-based, adventure series in Chasing Ocean Giants (Discovery+) to taking a celebrity to some of the most inhospitable places on the planet for Life at the Extreme with Davina McCall (ITV). Martha is best known for her polar and marine experience, and her passion and innovation in all areas of wildlife filmmaking.
